This presentation will discuss the different facets of AV cabling that data communications, telecommunications and electrical installers can encounter in projects for the office, schools, conference rooms and homes. Principles of video distribution and types of video will be reviewed.

This session will cover the "latest and greatest developments" in the cabling standards forums. Attendees will learn about new revisions, new documents and new projects that will affect how they and their customers design, specify and install telecommunications cabling.

Following the events of this decade, it has become a corporate responsibility to document and maintain policies to protect personal and corporate information assets. Companies need to train all members of the organization and their partners on such policies. A strong security program makes everyone in an organization accountable and protects the flow of information and assets throughout the organization.
A security program is made up of three main elements: the security policy, the security plan framework and the Corporate Information Assurance Protection Program (CIAPP). These elements create the foundation for implementation of projects and policies that will protect the organization from physical and network threats. This presentation will address these three elements and the importance of industry best practices in creating and implementing projects for physical and network security.
