January 29, 2007 -- Panduit (www.panduit.com) has introduced its Quicknet copper cabling system, a customizable, pre-terminated platform for meeting unique structured cabling requirements.

The company says the system is fast and easy to install, enabling quick network deployment, increased reliability and a lower installed cost, as compared to field terminated installations. Engineered for maximum design flexibility and high rack density utilization (up to 48-ports in one rack space), the system offers 100% factory tested pre-terminated cable assemblies in custom lengths and configurations.

The system's Quicknet assemblies include cassettes, jack modules and/or plug terminations with UTP cable for Category 6 applications or UTP/STP cable for 10GBASE-T applications. The Quicknet cassettes snap in and out of angled and flat modular patch panels via one hand operation for easy deployment. An optional adapter accepts all Panduit Mini-Com modules for multimedia applications.
