February 16, 2007 -- The Intercon 1 division of Nortech Systems, Inc. has introduced a line of "high-flex" Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) cable assemblies designed for use in industrial applications.

The company says the RoHS-compliant cable assemblies represent an industrial solution for strenuous applications that require more than standard Category 5 cabling. Constructed with a double-shielded, high-flex cable, the cable assembly is designed to surpass two million flex cycles.

The cable also features a durable Thermal Plastic Elastomer (TPE) jacket that enables it to withstand harsh environments such as oil, water and sunlight, while transmitting high-quality video images.

Thumbscrews guarantee a firm, constant connection through motion and vibration. The product's proprietary over-mold design provides additional strain relief and extended product life, according to the company.

Custom assemblies are available to fit individual requirements or unique applications.
