The National Association of Electrical Distributors has announced a $100,000 contribution by McNaughton-McKay Electric Co. to the NAED Education & Research Foundation.

"Like so many of our peers in the electrical distribution industry, our company has benefited from our membership in NAED and the many educational programs that its foundation offers," says David Beattie, president of McNaughton-McKay Electric. "We encourage all of the members of NAED to contribute to this very important cause, no matter what the size of your donation. The NAED Education & Research Foundation funds projects that are important to the future of our industry and will result in the continued prosperity of the industry."

Founded by Arch McKay and John McNaughton in 1910, McNaughton-McKay Electric Co. is a regional distributor of electrical products in the automation, MRO and construction market segments. Headquartered in Madison Heights, MI, the company employs approximately 850 people in 22 full-service locations in Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

"We are grateful for this investment made by McNaughton-McKay. It will provide solutions to some of the most difficult issues facing our industry," says Bill Elliott, chairman of the Channel Advantage Partnership. "They have been a leader in helping the industry through their involvement in NAED, IDEA, and now the Foundation. Everyone will benefit from their support of the NAED Education & Research Foundation's efforts."

The company's donation will become part of an endowment fund for the NAED Education & Research Foundation. The principal amount of the endowment will
remain untouched, while the interest will be used to commission future projects and studies. As a $100,000 donor, McNaughton-McKay will have a permanent position on the Channel Advantage Partnership Council, which will help select future educational programs and research projects.
