We Cut the Ribbon! CPI's Electronics & Software Technology Center Opens in Round Rock, TX

May 17, 2019

Chatsworth Products (CPI) is pleased to announce the opening of its new Electronics & Software Technology Center, located in Round Rock, Texas.

With an official grand opening event that included remarks from CPI executive leadership, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and facility tours on May 14, CPI welcomed over 30 guests from local government, media and industry to help celebrate the important milestone.

Central Texas' largest newspaper, the Austin American-Statesman covered the event in detail, shooting photography (included as a slideshow in the linked article) and citing quotes from Ted Behrens, CPI's Executive Vice President of Global Engineering and Product Management, Round Rock City Council Member Writ Baese and other CPI employee-owners and local community members who spoke to the advantages of CPI's expanding footprint in Central Texas and its positive impact on the local economy.

“We’re aggressively investing in our Electronics and Software business unit to innovate industry-leading power solutions at competitive lead times to meet the scale-out demands of our customers’ IT infrastructure. The Electronics & Software Technology Center will provide the manufacturing footprint for CPI to support the anticipated growth rates over the next five years,” says Behrens.

Round Rock Council Member Baese said that the complex is a perfect place for businesses like CPI to create opportunities for local jobs and help keep the residential tax rate low.

CPI’s work in power began in 1998, when the company moved forward with its mission to provide a complete solution to not only organize and store IT equipment, but also deliver reliable power to the equipment. Since then, CPI has been committed to providing advanced power products to solve critical data center applications.

CPI also has offices in Georgetown, TX, Chatsworth, Calif., New Bern, N.C. and international offices in Mexico City, Toronto, England, China and the United Arab Emirates.
