Natalia R. Medley
Natalia R. Medley is a counsel in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office where she specializes in the Torts and Product Risk Management practices.
Torts
Natalia works on large scale tort litigation in courts across the country, including federal, state, trial, appellate, and administrative actions. She has
represented clients in many industries, including telecommunications, chemicals, and industrial and consumer products. She has experience with toxic tort cases, products liability actions, contractual disputes, and claims arising under state statutes, including consumer protection laws. She works
on all aspects of litigation in different types of cases, including mass torts, class actions, and multidistrict litigation.
Product Risk Management
As a part of Natalia’s Product Risk Management practice, she represents clients in matters involving compliance with federal and state product safety
laws. She specializes in dealing with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), counseling clients on compliance and certification
obligations, reporting and recalling products, new statutory and regulatory measures, and assisting clients facing investigations and penalty proceedings. She has represented manufacturers, suppliers, private labelers, and importers in matters with the CPSC involving toys and other children’s products, apparel, sporting goods, craft products, and electronics, among others.
Natalia has experience working with other federal agencies as well, including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In addition, she has worked closely with Crowell & Moring’s European offices, as well as lawyers in other parts of the world, on international Product Risk Management issues.
Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Natalia served as a law clerk to the Honorable Noël Anketell Kramer in the District of Columbia Superior Court
and District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
