Andrew Oliviero is the senior product manager for multimode products at OFS, where he is responsible for creating long-term competitive strategies for the multimode fiber product line. Previously, he was technical manager of the Instrumentation and Measurement Engineering department at OFS' Sturbridge, Mass. Facility, where he was responsible for the development, implementation and control of fiber measurement equipment and processes. He was a member of the FO2.2.1 sub-committee on Digital Multimode Systems of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), where he was involved in the development of the 10 Gb/s 850 nm Optimized Multimode Fiber specifications and DMD measurement processes. He has worked in optical fiber R&D, engineering and manufacturing with OFS, Lucent Technologies and SpecTran Corp. He holds a B.S.E and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania and University of Massachusetts, respectively.
