Coaxial cable assemblies for broadcast applications

July 10, 2015
The 75-ohm cable assemblies ensure low signal distortion, Amphenol says.

Amphenol RF recently introduced more than 200 preconfigured cable assembly configurations to serve the broadcast market. The coaxial cable assemblies feature true 75-ohm performance, the company says, which ensures “low signal distortion and flawless broadcast transmission.”

The new assemblies are available in various configurations using the BNC, HD-BNC, and 1.0/2.3 coaxial interfaces, Amphenol said, along with popular broadcast cable types Belden 1505A, 1694A, and 1855A.

“These cable assemblies are specifically designed to maximize signal integrity, durability, and quality in high-definition transmission systems such as Ultra HD and 4K TV,” the company stated. “They also support mobile broadcast equipment, video routing and distribution systems, and audio/video switching devices.”

Amphenol recently merged its RF and Connex business units under the name Amphenol RF.
