Legrand acquiring Middle Atlantic Products

When the deal is complete, Middle Atlantic will become the Commercial AV division of Legrand North America.

Legrand North America, parent company of brand names including Cablofil, Ortronics and Wiremold, is acquiring Middle Atlantic Products. Legrand said it expects the deal to be finalized before the end of June. Middle Atlantic manufactures housing and support systems, including enclosures. (One is pictured below.)

The company said it is making this acquisition primarily to establish its place in the audio-visual (AV) market. Once the acquisition is complete Middle Atlantic Products will become the Commercial AV division of Legrand North America. Middle Atlantic has a network of more than 3,500 integrators in North America. Legrand pointed out that the combined organization will be able to offer more than 5,000 AV products and services to customers.

Mike Baker, who currently is president of Middle Atlantic Products, will lead the Commercial AV division of Legrand North America.
