ISD, Genetec integrate IP video surveillance lines

Sept. 10, 2012
ISD’s Jaguar IP cameras are now combined with Genetec's Omnicast video management system.

At the ASIS International 2012 conference (Sept. 10-13) in Philadelphia, PA, Innovative Security Designs (ISD), a provider of IP surveillance devices optimized for ease of deployment and system configuration, announced the integration of its Jaguar camera line with Genetec's Omnicast video management solution.

According to the companies, when ISD’s Jaguar cameras are combined with Genetec's Omnicast, which provides seamless management of digital video, audio and data across any IP network, users gain access to the highest quality IP video without the complexities normally associated with network camera deployments.

“The basis of our open ecosystem is to support innovative partner integrations with Omnicast such as with the Jaguar camera line," comments Morgan Pasnon, senior technology alliance manager at Genetec. “We are glad to add ISD as a new technology partner and to offer a broader choice to our customers for their video surveillance deployments.”

The Jaguar camera series offers the robust capabilities of IP video with superior ease of deployment and operation, claims ISD. The Jaguar JBS-AF and JBS-CS are each equipped with a 2-megapixel CMOS image sensor with full HD 1080P resolution. The cameras also feature advanced H.264 compression to reduce storage and bandwidth requirements. ISD’s Zero Touch installation allows for remote and immediate camera configuration, and makes the Jaguar cameras a particularly user-friendly platform.

“Today, more than ever, customers seek innovative ways to manage their growing network of cameras and Genetec provides technology solutions that streamline system management,” says Ian Johnston, CEO, Innovative Security Designs. “The flexibility and scalability Genetec provides offers us possibilities to better fulfill our commitment of hassle-free IP installations to our customers.”
