The box has 1/8” (3.5 mm) microphone input and stereo line level phono and speaker phono jack inputs. The device digitizes audio input into 16 bit samples at a 48KHZs rate. Digitized high quality audio is transmitted across fiber to a remote end and converted back to analog format.
The Model 2239 also supports line input volume adjustment to maximize the use of the digitized channel, and speaker/headphone volume adjustment. The device also has a mute button.
