General Cable and Hubbell taking half-day seminar on the road

June 24, 2002
June 24, 2002--The interactive seminar will visit eight locations in August and September, and counts for four CECs from BICSI.

General Cable (www.generalcable.com) and Hubbell Premise Wiring (www.hubbell-premise.com), the vendors that partner to provide the ClearBIT cabling system, have announced a complimentary, interactive half-day seminar that the companies will take on the road this summer.

The BICSI-accredited (four credits) seminar "will focus on topics such as network convergence, VoIP, return on investment, field test verification, and standards, including the recent Category 6 ratification," the companies said when making the announcement.

Subject-matter experts from both companies and from a tester partner will present. A live demonstration will show how to properly field verify Category 6 performance, understand performance claims, and relate those claims to on-site testing.

The seminar schedule is as follows:
* Tuesday, August 6 in Detroit
* Thursday, August 8 in Boston
* Tuesday, August 13 in Cleveland
* Thursday, August 15 in Atlanta
* Tuesday, September 10 in Santa Clara
* Wednesday, September 11 in Burlingame/San Francisco
* Tuesday, September 17 in New York
* Thursday, September 19 in Denver

All seminars will run from 1 to 4 PM, except the one in Denver, which will run from 2 to 5 PM. Participants can register at www.clear-bit.com. Space is limited.
