Jensen elected chair of TIA's TR-42 Committee

February 14, 2002--At its most recent meeting, the TR-42 Committee also elected Paul Kish as its vice chair, and named several other chairs and vice chairs of its subcommittees.

Bob Jensen, RCDD has been elected chair of the TIA's TR-42 User Premises Telecommunications Infrastructure Committee. The election took place at the committee's most recent meeting, held the week of February 4. Also at the meeting, Paul Kish was elected the committee's vice chair.

The "even-numbered" subcommittees within TR-42 also held elections during the week.

Bob Jensen was named chair and John Pryma, RCDD named vice chair of the TR-42.2 Subcommittee on Residential Telecommunications Infrastructure. The TR-42.2 Subcommittee is responsible for the TIA/EIA-570A standard.

Donna Ballast, RCDD was elected chair and Henry Frank, RCDD elected vice chair of the TR-42.4 Subcommittee on Outside Plant Telecommunications Infrastructure. The TR-42.4 Subcommittee is responsible for the TIA/EIA-758 standard.

Tom Rauscher was elected chair of the TR-42.6 Subcommittee on Telecommunications Infrastructure Administration. The group, which is responsible for the TIA/EIA-606A standard, did not elect a vice chair.

Herb Congdon was elected chair and Chad Burel, RCDD elected vice chair of the TR-42.8 Subcommittee on Telecommunications Optical Fiber Cabling Systems. The TR-42.8 Subcommittee is responsible for the TIA/EIA-568B.3 specifications.
