TIA web seminar covers fiber cabling standards

The TIA Fiber Optics LAN Section will provide updates on fiber-related specs as well as application specs and standards under revision.

A free seminar offered by the Telecommunications Industry Association's (TIA) Fiber Optics LAN Section (FOLS) and delivered via the web will cover LAN standards, news and trends related to fiber-optic cabling and networking.

The one-hour, fifteen-minute seminar will take place live Wednesday, March 21 from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm EDT. It will be presented by Pete Pondillo, who is the FOLS Standards Chair.

The seminar will cover the following:

  • Updates on all fiber-related specifications
  • Updates on application specifications
  • Review of standards under revision

Attendees who hold certain professional accreditations from BICSI will be eligible to receive one continuing education credit (CEC) for their attendance at the event.
