Ethernet Alliance planning second IEEE 802.3ba 40-, 100-Gigabit Ethernet interoperability test event

March 4, 2011
The next collaborative, vendor-neutral 40G and 100G interoperability test event is set for April at UNH-IOL in Durham, NH.

The Ethernet Alliance Higher Speed Ethernet Subcommittee (HSE) announced that it will host an IEEE 802.3ba 40Gb/s and 100Gb/s interoperability test event tentatively scheduled for the week of April 18 in Durham, NH at the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab (UNH-IOL). The Ethernet Alliance invites both members and non-members to participate in the event. Such interoperability test events help network equipment vendors create interoperable, market-ready products that are based upon the IEEE 802.3ba standard. The goal of the event is to perform testing across a broad vendor community, while exercising interoperability across multiple platforms and assisting participants in addressing potential interoperability issues.
