Tester checks data ports for PoE

Oct. 4, 2011
POEcheck can tell if power is being delivered at all and if so, over the data or spare paris.

The POEcheck from Kurth Electronic tests data ports for the presence of Power over Ethernet direct current. The test unit comes with a test cable, or users can opt for their own patch cords when using the device.

The tester contains two LEDs, to indicate whether "Type A" (using data wires) or "Type B" (using spare wires) power is being supplied.

You can download a data sheet for POEcheck here.
