Tripp Lite's 8-port console server enables remote wireless network access
Tripp Lite's new unit is certified for use with Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
Power protection and connectivity solutions expert Tripp Lite has added a new 8-port serial console server to its existing line of console servers. With the B094-008-2E-V 8-port serial console server, users can securely access servers, routers, network switches, UPS systems, PDUs and other IT devices in-band or wirelessly from any location through a single, highly secure gateway.
Certified for use with Verizon’s network, the console server features a built-in cellular modem for wireless access that supports 4G LTE network speeds, providing out-of-band, redundant, or failover network site access, and SMS notification for error conditions. The 8-port console server also includes a dual Ethernet NIC, 4GB of internal USB flash memory, and runs on Linux for scalability and reduced downtime.
The new B094-008-2E-V serial console server also offers integrated management tools with comprehensive logging and alerting, and other software including network UPS tools for UPS monitoring, PowerMan for integrated PDU and RPC functions with in session hotkey support, pattern match alerting, open access to the Linux shell for scripting, and heartbeat monitoring with automatic fail-over. The new unit is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA Schedule purchases.
“The B094-008-2E-V is an exciting new addition to our line of console server products,” said David Posner, Tripp Lite product manager. “Certified for use with Verizon’s 4G LTE wireless network, it provides the management tools network device managers need, with the added security of wireless access when the in-band network is down.”
