Analyzing enterprise small cells

New white paper from wireless infrastructure analyst Maravedis-Rethink.

A recent white paper from wireless infrastructure analyst Maravedis-Rethink seeks to identify and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of using small cell technology inside the enterprise, in both small and large enterprise scenarios. Authored by the firm's research director Caroline Gabriel, the paper also analyzes the development of stand-alone vs. small cell systems, which look to integrate different technologies and combine the benefits of several proven solutions in a unified system.

"The larger and more complex the installation becomes, and the more important it is to combine full mobility with data capacity, the more organizations will turn to new-wave platforms that integrate different approaches from a single point of installation and management," notes Gabriel. "The burden of time, risk and money will be lightened, or at least made more predictable, if these all-embracing platforms are provided and managed by a third party, usually a mobile operator."
