March 20, 2008 -- Wi-Fi platforms provider Xirrus, Inc. announced the deployment of its Wi-Fi Arrays at OZ Architecture's new corporate offices in Colorado. According to Xirrus, the aim of the deployment was to replace Ethernet workgroup switches and associated cabling while improving office esthetics.

OZ Architecture says it chose the Xirrus Wi-Fi Arrays because unlike traditional access points, the Xirrrus Wi-Fi Arrays are both esthetically pleasing and have the bandwidth and performance required for their 50+ power users transferring large CAD files on a constant basis.

"Our new corporate offices are a great example to our clients of who we are and what we do -- we needed a Wi-Fi solution powerful enough to deliver the same performance and security as a wired switch, yet that did not require a sea of access points and cables strewn throughout our offices," comments Brian Haffey, associate principal at OZ Architecture. "We tested the Xirrus Wi-Fi Array and found it to be the only Wi-Fi solution capable of delivering the necessary bandwidth to replace the wired switches, and to do it with far less devices and cables."

"Our Wi-Fi Array gives OZ Architecture the high performance needed as they move to other wireless applications such as voice and video over Wi-Fi," adds Chad Frisby, regional sales director at Xirrus. "Our platform delivers 802.11abg performance today with the capability of easily upgrading to 802.11n tomorrow."
