Components allow distributed antenna system power levels to be appropriately adjusted.

A series of variable step attenuators from Trilithic enable distributed antenna system (DAS) radio-frequency (RF) power levels to be appropriately adjusted for the DAS headend equipment, the company says. The attenuators have a frequency range to 3 GHz with 50 dB of dynamic range in 1-dB steps.

“These ruggedized infrastructure attenuators deliver attenuation accuracy,” Trilithic asserts. “DC to 1 GHz: ± 0.25 dB, 1 to 2 GHz: ± 0.35 dB; 2 to 3 GHz: ± 0.5 dB. Insertion loss: DC to 1 GHz: 0.6 dB; 1 to 2 GHz: 1.0 dB; 2 to 3 GHz: 1.5 dB.”

The components are RoHS-compliant and SMA female connectors are standard. Trilithic also offers the attenuators with other attenuation ranges and connector types.
