The RFR-00311 Multi-Function Enclosure from Molex Premise Networks is a 1U configurable rack-mount unit designed for storing and terminating fiber-optic cabling. According to Molex Premise Networks, the enclosure is designed to accommodate a wide variety of termination types, adapter configurations and cassettes. It is constructed to allow maximum flexibility in fiber routing, the company adds.

The enclosure’s ball-bearing slide mechanism “allows easy access to fibers, and the interchangeable front plate facilitates upgrades as required,” Molex Premise Network says. “The enclosure has an optional front locking kit and optional front cable management to securely route patch cords.”

The company adds that this product’s introduction allows users to mix-and-match a variety of the manufacturer’s optical-fiber products into a single enclosure.
