Legrand announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with Integra Optics, a global provider of carrier-grade fiber optics components. The relationship leverages both companies' strengths to offer a complete line of transceiver and direct attach cables under the "Legrand powered by Integra" name.

"This represents the first significant upgrade to our optical portfolio since it was introduced over three years ago," said Gary Hess, vice president and general manager of Legrand's commercial connectivity business. "With this partnership, Legrand has gained access to superior transceiver technology through Integra's advanced expertise in programming, testing and validation capabilities. This ensures that Legrand transceivers and direct attach cables continue to meet our customers' needs for performance, reliability and OEM compatibility whether used in hyperscale data centers or within a single-site building network."

Legrand says its portfolio of optical transceivers and direct attach cables has grown to become one of broadest, most trusted and most reliable offerings available in the market. Products undergo rigorous application testing to ensure compatibility with networking equipment from suppliers like Cisco, HP, Juniper Networks® and many more. All products are TAA and MSA compliant to ensure that they function ideally in any desired application. The products are backed by a lifetime guarantee and are available through Legrand's national and regional IT and datacom distributors and resellers.

"We are pleased to form this strategic partnership with Legrand," said David Prescott, CEO, CTO and founder, Integra Optics. "Aligning our brand of high value products and state-of-the-art engineering capabilities with this world class organization allows us to bring additional value to the market and Legrand's vast customer base. We're excited to offer the quality and availability our customers have grown accustomed to at an even greater scale."

Legrand optical products powered by Integra will begin shipping in October. For more information, please visit http://bit.ly/legrand-transceivers.
