Binder USA LP (Camarillo, CA) announced that it has expanded its M12-A connector offering with two new rectangular flange connectors. Designed for deployment in today’s advanced automation technology segment, the new connectors provide new options for sensor and actuator applications.

Available with 4, 5 or 8 pins, the new Binder Series 763 M12-A connectors include a stranded-wire version with 20 mm or 26 mm rectangular housing, and a solder version with 20 mm housing. The stranded-wire 26 mm version uses the same drilling template as the company's M16 connector, allowing users to switch to the M12 variant without changing the existing housing.

With its IP68 protection rating and an Au (gold) contact plating, the Binder Series 763 M12-A connectors support an operational temperature range of -40°C to +85 °C, with a rated voltage of 250 V and a rated current of 4 A (3A UL).

For simple and reliable installation, Binder says it used a two-part approach in the new connector's construction, consisting of the housing and the contact holder, allowing the coding nose of the contact holder to be positioned in increments of 45°.
