Verizon Accelerates Fiber Expansion

Verizon Communications and Tillman Global Holdings’ Eaton Fiber LLC have signed a commercial fiber agreement to bring high-speed fiber broadband to homes outside of Verizon’s and Frontier’s existing Fios footprint. The partnership supports Verizon’s broadband and mobility convergence strategy of faster deployment and expanded coverage for new communities.

Exclusive Residential Fiber Service for New Markets

Under the agreement, Verizon will serve as the exclusive retail provider of residential fiber broadband over the new network throughout the build phase and beyond. The company’s strategy ensures that Verizon will maintain a competitive edge in acquiring new subscribers while delivering its “ultra-fast and highly reliable” Fios service to additional U.S. homes.

Eaton Fiber’s Role

Eaton Fiber will fund and construct the network, handling installation and maintenance. Verizon will manage customer sales, marketing, and support.

CEO Commentary on the Partnership

“Our strategy is clear: lead the market in premium mobility and broadband convergence, and fiber is the foundation of that leadership,” said Sowmyanarayan Sampath, Executive Vice President for Verizon and CEO for Verizon Consumer. “This agreement allows us to rapidly enter new markets, accelerate deployment speed and ensure we maintain the necessary flexibility to capture growth opportunities across the country.”

“We are pleased to partner with a world-class provider in Verizon,” Sanjiv Ahuja, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Tillman Global Holdings. “Marking a significant expansion of Tillman’s fiber deployments, this announcement underscores our shared commitment to expanding next-generation infrastructure nationwide.”
