Antaira Releases IP67-Rated PoE++ Gigabit Ethernet Extender for Long-Distance Network Edge Connectivity
Antaira Technologies has introduced the LEP-0302G-bt-67-T, an IP67 Gigabit Ethernet extender created to increase both data transmission distance and power delivery at the network edge. “On the input end, the Antaira LEP-0302G-bt-67-T has a 1-port 802.3bt 90W PoE RJ45 input. On the output side, it can perform as either a single 60W Gigabit 802.3bt PSE port or two 802.3af/at 30W RJ45 ports.”
Extended PoE++ Delivery for Remote Devices
The extender increases Ethernet and PoE reach to a maximum of 200 meters while supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps data rates. Up to four additional extenders can be daisy-chained to reach 500 meters, with a reduced PoE budget depending on load.
The unit’s 1-port 802.3bt 90W RJ45 input supports two output configurations:
- One 60W 802.3bt port
- Two 30W 802.3af/at ports
Automatic PoE detection protects non-PoE devices by ensuring power is supplied only to IEEE 802.3 compliant devices. The extender is fully self-powered from the input PoE, making it so there is no need for a separate power cable or outlet.
Built for Harsh Outdoor and Industrial Environments
Rated IP67, the LEP-0302G-bt-67-T is designed for exposure to dust, water, vibration, shock, and extreme temperatures from -40°C to 75°C. Additional features include:
- Water-resistant cable glands
- Dust-proof housing
- Designed to withstand EMI
Its ruggedness makes the extender suitable for deployments underground, outdoors, or within manufacturing plants.
