Clearfield Launches NOVA Platform for High-Density Fiber Connectivity in Data Centers and Broadband Networks

Clearfield, Inc. has introduced its NOVA Platform in a press release, a modular, high-density fiber connectivity ecosystem made to simplify network installation and scaling across data center, enterprise, and broadband environments.

The platform has a range of applications, from hyperscale and colocation data centers to enterprise campuses and broadband central offices. As operators face growing pressure to support higher fiber counts as well as increasing demand for higher speeds, while working with tighter space constraints.

Clearfield says that the NOVA Platform delivers higher port density, tool-less installation, and consistent port documentation to meet evolving networks needs of supporting 100G, 400G, and emerging AI-driven workloads.

High-density cassettes and patch panels

At the core of the NOVA Platform is the NOVA Cassette, Clearfield’s highest-density cassette to date. Designed for fast installation, the cassette features tool-less handling and front-of-rack access for technicians. The company says that with the casette’s integrated designation card, combined with a second labeling point on the panel, operators have access to clearer, more consistent documentation than with traditional high-density systems.

The cassette couples with new NOVA Patch Panels, which are available in 1U, 2U, and 4U configurations. Clearfield’s 4U panel supports up to 384 LC fibers, while maintaining front-of-rack access for moves and modifications. Because the cassettes can be installed from the front or rear of the panel, operators have more flexibility during deployment while still having consistent frontal access to the rack.

Modular ecosystem for core and edge networks

Beyond patch panels and cassettes, the NOVA Platform includes wall-mount panels, trunk and jumper assemblies, and new rack and cabinet solutions designed for both core data center environments and distributed edge environments. Every component follows Clearfield’s design principles of high density, clean cable management, and modular scalability, allowing operators to expand at their own pace without disrupting active networks.
