Nokia Introduces Agentic AI Capabilities for Home and Broadband Networks

Nokia’s latest AI technology aims to help operators, field technicians, and broadband providers

According to a Nokia press release, has introduced new agentic artificial intelligence capabilities designed to improve automation and operational efficiency across home and broadband networks.

The latest launch of Nokia’s agentic AI focuses on enabling networks to act more autonomously by optimizing performance, identifying issues, and responding to changing conditions with less manual intervention.

The company says that the technology is intended to help broadband providers by simplifying operations, as well as improving network reliability and end-user experiences.

It also claims that the new AI capabilities will "increase productivity across customer care, network engineering & operations and field force teams, while boosting end-user experience”.

Nokia emphasizes how the AI will help operators find and address issues early on as well as scale operations without requiring more workers. Field technicians would have access to guided assistance during installations and surveys through AI-powered voice, text, and images.

Computer vision technology will aid in validating work quality and can build a live digital twin of the FTTH network. A conversational AI assistant can also provide technicians and support teams with product knowledge, helping with everyday problem-solving and accelerating training.
