Dec. 2, 2015
Comprehensive solution for data center applications re-defines "end-to-end" structured cabling, says company.

Legrand, a specialist in high-performance network infrastructure hardware, has expanded its Q-Series portfolio networking products to include a host of new networking transceivers that ensure compatibility of network equipment with most industry-leading manufacturers. The company says it designed the new Q-Series transceivers as a complete solution for all networking and data center applications, including Category copper and fiber-optic cabling and connectivity, as well as racks and cable management.

“The new Q-Series networking transceivers are yet another component of the connected infrastructure solutions that are helping companies manage a wide range of data center applications,” comments Tom Chantrell, product manager for Q-Series at Legrand. “This expanded product line is a comprehensive network solution that supports new equipment while allowing for easy upgrades to existing equipment.”

Additional highlights of the new transceivers include the following: built to meet or exceed OEM specifications, with 100% testing and performance guarantees; compatible with industry-leading manufacturers Arista, Cisco, HP, Juniper Networks and others; designed for easy upgrades within existing equipment; numerous new form factors that support higher bandwidth cabling; and fast availability for stocked and custom parts.

The new transceivers are available immediately. “The new Q-Series networking transceivers help enterprises optimize network systems and drive greater data center efficiency,” concludes Chantrell. “This expanded portfolio redefines the meaning of ‘end-to-end’ as it relates to structured cabling – which now includes up to the backplane of the networking equipment.”
