Graybar announced that Dale R. Sheff has been appointed the company's controller, effective November 1, 2013. He replaces Martin J. Beagen, who retired on January 1, 2013 after more than 32 years with the company.
Sheff is a 20-year Graybar veteran who brings extensive accounting experience to his new assignment. Since joining the distributor in 1993, he advanced through field accounting roles in Cincinnati, Boston and Dallas. Sheff served for two years as a business systems specialist in Graybar’s IT department, then was promoted to the role of senior accountant at the company's corporate headquarters. He became Graybar's director of field accounting operations in 2005 and took on his previous position as assistant controller in 2008.

Sheff is a Certified Public Accountant who earned his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bob Jones University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
