Troubleshooting building air economizers for energy efficiency

New online course from Onset advises.

Onset, a supplier of data logger technology, announced that the company will be hosting a one-hour online training course, Economizer Diagnostics Using Data Loggers, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm EST.

The course was developed and will be presented by Mark Stetz, principal of Stetz Consulting, which specializes in identifying and evaluating energy efficiency measures. Mr. Stetz will explain how to identify seemingly imperceptible failures of economizers used in commercial building air handlers and rooftop units -- one of the leading causes of energy waste in the USA. At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Understand how economizers reduce energy use
• Understand failure modes
• Develop and implement an economizer diagnostic plan
• Evaluate information from data loggers or a BAS
• Interpret results and develop a corrective course of action

The course costs $95 and is approved for one GBCI credit hour, with a Certificate of Completion to be provided. Visit https://student.gototraining.com/r/5482039985719435008 to learn more and register for the event.
