Uptime Institute speaker skewers today's inefficient data center designs

In following video, Chris Crosby, CEO of Compass Data Centers, presents some provocative views at the recent Uptime Institute Symposium. "The designs of the majority of today's data centers are inherently inefficient," contends Crosby. He adds, "They address the business considerations of the provider but offer less than they should to their customers, while wasting land, resources and materials."

In the presentation, Crosby provides a detailed overview of the design characteristics of today's leading wholesale data centers, and identifies areas that must be improved to enable them to address the evolving needs of today's customers.
