Rapid 10-GbE transitioning for data centers

Upcoming Ethernet Alliance webinar will examine the vast ecosystem of switches and servers carrying 10GbE over copper cables.

The Ethernet Alliance will be presenting a webinar highlighting the migration from current Gigabit Ethernet speeds to the latest 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) technologies in data centers, enabling facilities to scale to meet the explosion of mobile technology and data consolidation "in the cloud." Among 10GbE solutions, 10GBASE-T technology is the fastest growing, notes Ethernet IC supplier Aquantia, who is co-partner in the webinar, along with Cisco.

The webinar will examine the vast ecosystem of switches and servers carrying 10GbE over copper cables. Presenters for the webinar are Phil Delansay, co-founder and vice president of business development for Aquantia, and Sandeep Shyamsukha, senior manager of product management, Cisco Systems. The online presentation is scheduled for 10 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time/1 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, June 25, 2014, and will last 1 hour, including a question-and-answer session with the presenters.
