May 14, 2009 -- Network infrastructure provider CommScope Enterprise Solutions has opened its new executive briefing center (EBC) in Richardson, Texas, which will serve as the company's flagship customer briefing facility. The 5,000-square-foot EBC features a virtual data center, products showcase, residential area, conference room and testing demonstration area. CommScope says touring the facility gives customers "a view of a world where enterprise, wireless and data center technology provide optimal working and living conditions."
"The Executive Briefing Center is the ultimate showcase for our latest, leading-edge solutions," comments Randy Crenshaw, executive vice president and general manager, CommScope Enterprise Solutions. "By using the innovative technologies from CommScope's Systimax, Andrew and Uniprise brands, we created a place that better familiarizes both potential and current customers with the CommScope solutions driving intelligent buildings, wireless communications and data centers. CommScope provides the right network infrastructure for any and every need, and the EBC is the perfect interactive example."
The EBC's centerpiece is the virtual data center, filled with a variety of CommScope's data center solutions. The EBC features the Systimax iPatch System and GigaSPEED X10D copper cabling; Andrew antennas and radio frequency (RF) subsystem components for Internet Service Provider systems; InstaPATCH pre-terminated copper and fiber solutions; and CommScope Enclosures, which include cabinets, racks and cable management devices.
The solutions showcase features a wealth of information about the company's Intelligent Building Infrastructure Solutions (IBIS) as well as other Systimax, Uniprise and Andrew products for intelligent buildings, wireless communications and data centers. Intelligent buildings harness technology and link building systems in order to supply more efficiency, higher productivity and increased comfort, maintains the company. Guests can interact with several plasma monitors positioned throughout the room to learn more about the solutions that meet their unique needs. The solutions showcase also highlights the next generation Systimax 360 solution platform.
"We successfully created a briefing center that encapsulates CommScope's industry-leading technologies at their finest," remarks Luc Adriaenssens, senior vice president, R&D and technology, CommScope Enterprise Solutions. "Instead of just seeing each solution on a diagram or reading about their capabilities in a white paper, EBC guests experience the benefit of CommScope solutions as soon as they walk through the front doors. For instance, guests can explore a data center and come away with a new outlook on cable management and applications that can benefit their own enterprise data center. CommScope's EBC is a great place to become familiar with the infrastructure solutions shaping the industry today and in the future."
