May 21, 2009 -- i/o Data Centers announced that it has selected Qwest Communications as one of its Internet carrier providers for its Phoenix ONE data center, a 530,000 square foot facility located on a 31-acre campus in central Phoenix, AZ.
"It is vital that we offer our clients access to the best Internet service providers and Qwest helps us meet those requirements," comments i/o Data Centers president and founder Anthony Wanger.
i/o Data Centers designs, builds and operates enterprise data centers for some of the world's largest corporations and Web properties. The provider's Phoenix ONE facility is carrier-neutral and is located next to one of the nation's largest joint fiber trenches, with several major bandwidth providers, including Qwest, offering direct Internet connections. Phoenix ONE will be a TeraPoP Layer 3 site, which means customers can connect to the Internet with speeds up to 10 Gbps.
"Qwest and i/o Data Centers continue to bring technologically advanced businesses to Arizona," says Chris Ancell, vice president, Qwest Business Markets group. "We are excited about what this project will mean for Phoenix companies and those nationwide looking for additional bandwidth, power and more secure network capabilities to run new applications."
