High-Density Fiber Connectivity, DC Power, In-Rack Cooling and More Topics on Tap for Data Center Insights Event

Produced by Cabling Installation & Maintenance’s owner EndeavorB2B, the online technical conference will take place July 15 and 16, addressing a range of issues that affect data center operators, practitioners, and vendors.

On July 15 and 16 Cabling Installation & Maintenance will join several of its “sibling” media outlets to host an online conference-style event titled Data Center Insights. Comprising 11 technical sessions, the event will be broadcast from 11:00 am to 3:30pm EDT each day. Along with CI&M, EndeavorB2B’s Data Center Frontier, ISE, and Lightwave have organized the program’s content. The full agenda, which you can see here, reflects the breadth of these outlets’ audiences and areas of coverage.

Some of the sessions that may be of particular interest to cabling professionals include the following.

  • Rethinking Data Center Power Distribution: Safe, High-Power DC with Digital Electricity (to be held Wednesday, July 15 at 11:30am EDT; delivered by VoltServer)
  • Testing High-Density Fiber Links: Best Practices for VSFF and 400G+ Networks (to be held Wednesday, July 15 at 1:30pm EDT; delivered by Fluke Networks)
  • Preparing for the Next Generation of Data Center Cooling: Why Liquid Cooling Matters (to be held Thursday, July 15 at 12:00 noon EDT; delivered by Panduit)

In describing the focus and content of Data Center Insights, EndeavorB2B says, “Today everything is at an all-time high in the data center industry: computations, energy consumption, cooling requirements, security concerns, density of infrastructure—and the stakes if something goes wrong. Data Center Insights … covers the systems, technologies, and practices that move data centers forward, and enable these facilities to move the world forward.”

Each session is free to attend, and the event’s content is offered “a la carte.” Anyone interested in attending can register for as many or as few events as they wish.

A hydraulic earth drill with a high-torque anchor handle and utility anchor adapter can significantly improve safety for anchor installation.
Enabling a one-person install, the earth drill has several advantages over manually setting drive rods or using anchor crankers.

These Tower Tech XR cooling towers use evaporative cooling to remove heat generated within the data center by IT equipment. Composite cooling towers are more compact and significantly lighter than metal towers. They arrive at a data center site pre-built.
Data center designers shouldn’t sleep on the benefits of fiberglass construction materials.
