Brocade is showcasing its networking products optimized for data center cloud computing, integrated with virtualization and private cloud software from EMC.

This week at EMC World 2012 (May 21-24) in Las Vegas, Brocade (NASDAQ: BRCD) is showcasing its networking products optimized for data center cloud computing, integrated with virtualization and private cloud software from EMC. At the conference, technical experts from Brocade will deliver presentations focused on how fabric-based networks are providing scalability and operational simplicity for highly virtualized, cloud-centric data centers.

On Tuesday, May 22 at the trade show, AJ Casamento, global solutions architect with Brocade, will present a session entitled, Enabling Cloud Architectures with EMC VPLEX and Brocade Networking. The session will explain how Brocade's networking products are enabling cloud computing architectures in the data center based on EMC's VPLEX applications. The talk will also highlight how Brocade is integrating with VMware Metro vMotion for creating disaster avoidance solutions, and serving as the foundation for stretched Oracle RAC clusters for high-availability SAP deployments.

Also on May 22, Brocade representatives will present a program entitled, Storage Networking for the Virtual Enterprise. The session will discuss the latest in storage networking protocols for EMC's storage platforms. Topics include new architectures for scaling SAN fabrics, new features for enhancing SAN metro connectivity, and new capabilities for SAN management, as well as a review of Ethernet fabric deployments for FCoE, iSCSI and NAS.

On the EMC World exhibition floor, Brocade's line-up of product demonstrations will include the following:

-- Brocade's line of SAN fabric platforms for data center cloud environments, built on the emerging 16-Gbps Fibre Channel standard, for delivering greater levels of flexibility for data center consolidation, expansion and refresh projects.

-- Brocade's VDX family of Ethernet fabric switches, designed to provide high levels of performance, utilization, availability and operational simplicity to meet the business needs of today's virtualized data centers.

-- Integrated platforms focused on distance data center connectivity for migrating live applications between data centers with VMware vMotion, EMC VPLEX and Brocade networking infrastructure. Brocade contends that this combined platform delivers 2x the performance for migrating virtual machines (VMs) over double the distance between data centers, compared to competitive systems.

-- A high-performance applications demonstration, combining Brocade's VDX Ethernet fabric switches and MLXe routers with EMC's Isilon scale-out NAS storage platform, which the companies say delivers 2x the performance of comparative platforms, in published test results.
