Anixter has announced the schedule for its 2010 seminar series entitled Solving the Data Center Optimization Puzzle: Infrastructure, Security, and Sustainability. Now in its tenth year, the traveling educational event addresses standards and technologies in the data center, security, telecommunications, and sustainability fields.
The setting for each of these seminars will be a movie theater, in which attendees will see a video presentation that focuses on data center optimization. The video will include information from some of Anixter's technical staff as well as representatives of the Telecommunications Industry Association, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Green Grid, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The TIA and IEEE will also be represented on a live panel, along with speakers from IBM and Security Technology Executive magazine.
All attendees will receive a copy of a Gartner research paper entitled "Newer Power and Cooling Technologies are Making Inroads in the Data Center, but More can be Done."
The seminar will travel to 11 cities in the U.S. and Canada, as follows.
