New Rack Safety Plus PDU Released by nVent

A new UL-certified PDU by nVent has many useful features including its E-STOP, configurability, and plug-and-play readiness.

The U.S. launch of nVent Electric’s Rack Safety Plus power distribution unit has taken off as an “innovative safety solution designed for both partially and fully automated test systems”. This PDU is a UL-certified plug-and-play solution featuring Emergency Stop, leading to a reduction in costs and lead times, as well as eliminates risks. The Rack Safety Plus PDU is available in a multitude of standard versions or can be configured with a maximum of 300,000 options. The modified as well as the standard configurations come with UL certification and can be simply designed by utilizing nVent’s online configurator, with predefined components.

“Featuring an integrated safety system, the Rack Safety Plus PDU complies with industry standards EN 60947-5-1 and EN 60204-1, making it an ideal solution for both partially and fully automated test environments. Designed for plug-and-play readiness, this new solution offers exceptional ease of use, rapid deployment, and certified protection for sensitive electronic equipment.” This 19”, 3U PDU has AC outputs with various connector types, all its outputs are protected by circuit breakers, and more. The solution by nVent is best suited for 19” Test Benches in areas including, but not limited to, test and inspection equipment, systems and control monitoring, high-current and high-voltage power units, and many other areas.
