Leviton recently introduced a portfolio of fiber-optic and copper cabling products engineered for hyperscale and artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, including a set of copper and fiber cables that are capable of being deployed in liquid immersion cooling environments.

The TORRENT brand immersion-ready cabling for liquid-cooled environments is a set of copper and fiber solutions that the company explains are “immersion-ready in select immersion cooling fluids, having been tested and found to be acceptable per the OCP Materials Compatibility in Immersion Cooling, Rev 1.0 requirements.” Leviton added that the jacket and insulation materials retained 80% or more of tensile strength and elongation when tested per ASTM D412 after being aged for 14 days at 80 degrees Celsius.

The cables are one part of a newly introduced range of solutions specifically designed for high-density hyperscale and AI networks. Leviton simultaneously expanded its ability to support data centers globally with added manufacturing capacity, increased design resources, and new resources for customers.

Leviton’s new STRATA ecosystem includes the following.

  • IDX Enclosures with capacity for 6912 fibers for splicing or interconnect
  • High-density fiber patch panels offering 3456 fibers in one rack unit using 16-fiber MMC VSFF connectivity
  • High-count fiber assemblies, array cords, harnesses, and adapter plates using MMC connectivity
  • The Mass Connect System for rapid deployment of AI and machine learning networks
  • Fiber-optic factory sites located around the world that are certified by US Conec to manufacture assemblies with MMC connectivity, ensuring product availability and support for large scaling initiatives
  • Regional (Europe, Asia, Middle East) availability for customized cabinet solutions supporting more than 40,000 fibers

“Leviton has been a leader in the data center space for 20 years,” said Leviton Network Solutions chief operating officer and Leviton’s chief sustainability officer Ross Goldman. “And we are proud to be on the cutting edge of hyperscale and AI network infrastructure with our new STRATA and TORRENT solutions. As a vertically integrated global manufacturer of fiber-optic cable, connectors, assemblies and enclosures, we have the capacity and agility to provide data centers with scalable end-to-end systems, filling very large volume orders and providing rapid response network infrastructure design support.”

While introducing the STRATA and TORRENT portfolios, Leviton also announced the following offerings and capabilities.

Expanded fiber-optic cable manufacturing capacity. In April 2025, the company completed a $25-million expansion project that doubled the size of its fiber cabling factory in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, providing more capacity to supply U.S. and global data center expansion. “With major cable manufacturing and cable assembly factories in North America and Europe, including a recent European make-to-order factory expansion, doubling the size of the company’s footprint, Leviton is strongly positioned with proven speed, scale and agility to support customer deployments around the world,” the company said.

VAULT collaboration lab. Leviton encourages customers to visit factories where their solutions are manufactured, to be guided through private, secure demonstration areas for customized solutions. Known as the VAULT, these areas are working labs that showcase STRATA solutions designed in collaboration with hyperscale and AI data center operators for their precise needs.

AI Network Alliance. In June 2025, Cisco and Leviton announced an alliance for AI-ready data centers. By becoming an Engineering Alliance Partner, Leviton’s collaboration with Cisco aims to create solutions that enable seamless expansion and integration, helping organizations meet the anticipated surge in AI workloads and emerging cooling options while ensuring robust reliability and modular deployment.

Enhanced data center design expertise. Leviton expanded its team of data center design engineers to help hyperscale and AI customers with optimal network plans, conceptual drawings and diagrams. This team includes experts who are NVIDIA-Certified Asso iates in AI Infrastructure and Operations. These experts work hand-in-hand with Leviton’s customer support team, which includes customer service, tech support, specification services, applications, engineering, and other functions, all headed by a central point of contact.

AI education podcast series. Leviton kicked off the second season of its Beyond Bandwidth podcast in May. The 11-episode series is exclusively focused on AI, with industry experts discussing network architecture, emerging technologies, power and cooling, and cabling infrastructure.
