Klein Tools has introduced its Wide Steel Fish Tape, 1/4-Inch x 25 Foot (Cat. No. 56335), a new addition to the company's line of fish tapes designed for use in wire runs associated with short commercial, residential and VDV runs.
The company says the new fish tape's durable, high carbon 1/4’’ wide spring steel is firm yet flexible, with a protective coating that reduces non-contact moisture but is dry to touch.
Laser etched markings in 1-foot (0.3m) descending increments measure the depth of conduit and the amount of tape left. The tape's slim-profile plastic tip navigates easily and reduces catching.
Easy to carry, with a compactly sized, high-impact resistant case, the company says the optimized design of the tape's housing makes for smooth, easier payout.
“Our goal in adding to Klein Tools’ fish tape line was to give users a compact fish tape that could be a staple in their tool bags,” explains Dan Pearson, product manager at Klein Tools.
Pearson adds, “Utilizing a high carbon, coated steel and slim-profile tip gives the tape the right amount of flexibility and maneuverability for pulling wire in attics, down walls, or through small branch circuits, while the laser-etched markings allow you to accurately measure the depth of runs and determine the amount of tape left to pay out.”
