Rugged cases contain racks to transport sensitive electronic equipment

Canyonwest now carries SKB’s 3RR series 20-inch shock rack transport cases are suitable for military and commercial customers that need ‘indestructible’ cases to transport gear.

Canyonwest recently announced that it now offers SKB’s 3RR Series 20-inch-deep Shock Rack Transport Cases, which contain removable racks. Canyonwest said it expects the cases to be popular among its military and commercial customers that need “indestructible cases to transport sensitive electronic equipment.”

The cases are 20 inches deep from rail to rail, Canyonwest said, adding they are lightweight, shockproof, watertight, dustproof, heat and chemical-resistant. “The interior of the case features a removable rack that slides open like a file drawer, allowing full access to racked equipment,” the company explained. “The interior rack is also completely removable allowing complete frame access for bench integration.”

Cases are available in eight sizes: 3U, 4U, 5U, 6U, 7U, 9U, 11U and 14U. Each is equipped with a 2-inch-deep front and rear lid. Standard features include lid hangers, pressure-relief valve, coupling straps, black powder-coated stainless-steel hardware, and four comfort-grip spring-loaded handles.

The 3RR series cases are equipped with eight elastomeric shock absorbers (load range from 40 to 150 lbs) with provisions to add shocks for an extended payload range. Molded-in stacking ribs and lugs are designed to stack, interlock and couple with other rack systems. Cases also meet or exceed MIL-STD-810G. Each has a lifetime warranty.
