Arrow Wire & Cable announced that it will be hosting a 2-day OSP design preparation class on August 8th and 9th, led by BICSI-recognized "International Instructor of the Year," Arrow's own Dave Sanders, RCDD, LAN, OSP. The class will be held at the Hampton Inn at 3150 Chino Avenue in Chino Hills, CA.

Presented in conjunction with Tier Four Training, the BICSI Outside Plant (OSP) Designer course presents a fast-paced review of the BICSI Outside Plant Design Reference Manual (OSPDRM). The 2-day course will highlight the critical areas students should know for the Outside Plant (OSP) Design examination. Practice tests and general test-taking tips and strategies are included. The class includes information of OSP right-of-way and route design; OSP space design (maintenance holes, ducts, vaults); underground, direct-buried, and aerial plant design; OSP cabling hardware; and OSP grounding, bonding and electrical protection systems.

As a world-class speaker and trainer, Dave Sanders has successfully authored and maintained BICSI's International RCDD class of the year, while also expanding his reach into the realm of OSP, ESS, and Project Management classes, as BICSI continues to revise class and exam content. He has been recognized by BICSI as the organization's International RCDD Instructor of the Year and Telecommunications Speaker of the Year. He has successfully taught several hundred RCDD, OSP and NTS students over the past 10 years. Dave employs the mantra "leave no [one] behind" in his classes and in his work, and has been cited for leading eighty to ninety percent of his students to pass the extremely demanding BICSI exams.

The cost of the OSP design class is $795. Individuals who have a minimum of two years of experience in outside plant operations and have either a current RCDD credential or have successfully passed the BICSI ITS Design Fundamentals exam may sit for the OSP Design exam. The OSP exam is based on BICSI's Outside Plant Design Reference Manual (OSPDRM). Those who pass the OSP exam will receive the OSP Designer credential, showing they possess outstanding OSP knowledge that will give them significant competitive recognition. The OSP designation is renewable every three years based on continuing education requirements. Required materials for the class are the BICSI OSPDRM 5th Edition Manuals, which can be purchased directly from the BICSI website.

As an exclusive promotion, Arrow Wire & Cable is offering $50 savings to the first 30 people to enter the code "arrow" when registering for the course at www.tier4training.net.
