The Cabling Icon contest's second season winner, Alberto Luna, has been selected by BICSI to be a panelist for the association's Job Task Analysis group of experts for the BICSI Information Technology Systems (ITS) Cabling Installation Program, to be held November 4–9, 2013 at BICSI World Headquarters in Tampa, Florida.

The Job Task Analysis group will provide BICSI with information to be used in the creation of reference materials, curriculum and exam questions. As a panelist, Alberto Luna will be articulating his job role and tasks for the foundation of the BICSI ITS Cabling Installation Program for the next 3–5 years.

“It is important to me that those in the ITS industry realize the potential for growth and excellence within their careers,” comments Luna, project manager with Total Network Consulting and season two Cabling Icon. “The Cabling Icon contest inspires not only career growth, but the value of education and making an overall difference in the ITS industry.”

Cabling Icon intends to work closely with other low voltage cabling and ITS technicians and installers to support career growth and other contributions to the low voltage cabling and ITS industries. The Cabling Icon contest is in its third season, with a deadline of November 18, 2013 for ITS and low voltage cabling installers and technicians to enter.

“The Cabling Icon contest would like to extend our gratitude to Alberto for upholding his status of being a true Cabling Icon and being selected by BICSI to participate on the Job Task Analysis group,” concludes Dennis Mazaris, RCDD, RTPM, President of Concert Technologies and creator of Cabling Icon. “Alberto’s role on the panel is not only a great accomplishment in his career, but is a valuable contribution to the future of the low voltage cabling and ITS industries.”
