Cloud-based digital signage platform eases solution deployment, management
At this week's InfoComm 2014, ViewSonic, a provider of visual display technology, and digbil, a digital signage brand under American Megatrends (AMI), announced a partnership to jointly provide best-in-class digital signage platforms.
The two companies say they have together created a series of hardware and software products aimed at simplifying the deployment and management of digital signage networks, enabling customers to expand their networks from a single digital sign to tens of thousands of signs, quickly and without expensive hardware.
“The digital signage industry has been highly fragmented. Customers have had to purchase hardware from one vendor, software from another vendor and still be left without professional content creation or installation,” contends Craig Scott, director of business development at digbil. “The result is confused, unsatisfied customers who end up paying a premium for a sub-optimal solution.”

As a specialist in display technology, ViewSonic maintains that its knowledge of customer needs and global resources are critical components when building global digital signage networks that are reliable, secure, and scalable. “We are proud to partner with such a reputable and innovative company like digbil to offer dependable digital signage solutions for real world applications,” comments Gene Ornstead, director of product marketing at ViewSonic. “The partnership between ViewSonic and digbil delivers a total digital signage solution for high impact messaging across many industries.”
ViewSonic's complete product line of commercial displays, ranging in size from 10-inches to 84-inches, enable customers to find targeted solutions for specific digital signage applications, while digbil's software for Web-browser based platforms support media uploaded in more than 200 of the most common video and audio file formats.
A showcase of real-life scenarios born from this partnership will be on display during the InfoComm show in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 18-20 at ViewSonic's booth C-7118.
