GigaMonster(Atlanta, GA) one of the nation’s leading fiber-based internet providers to multifamily and mixed-use developments, announced the recent appointment of Tony Long to the company’s board of directors.
“Tony is an inspirational leader and a seasoned and innovative business executive who will bring a global perspective to our board of directors,” said Bill Dodd, co-founder, chairman and CEO of GigaMonster. “We are pleased to welcome him and look forward to leveraging his insight and advice to help steer the vision and strategic opportunities of GigaMonster. He will be an outstanding addition to our board.”
Per a GigaMonster statement, leveraging more than 30 years of experience, Long possesses a wealth of expertise in areas such as commercial real estate investor services (across all product types), organizational transformation, growth initiatives, key client account management, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions.
Long’s most recent role at CBRE, the largest commercial real estate services company in the world, was global president of Client Care. In this role, Long focused on account management of CBRE’s top 500 clients, which have grown to more than 55 percent of the company’s revenues in the last two years.
Leveraging his interest and knowledge of technology and its application to commercial real estate (CRE), Long is intrigued by the intersection of technology, big data and commercial real estate. “In real estate, data is the new asset class,” Long said. “GigaMonster has a unique and differentiated offer that adds value to real estate owners and creates a much higher resident experience.”
Long, 55, also currently serves on the board of trustees for the Covenant School of Dallas. He graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in business administration (data processing and analysis) and from Harvard University with an MBA.
