Ideal offering extended warranty option on high-end cabling tester

June 15, 2011
A three-year plan on the LanTEK II includes calibration and loaner services.

Ideal is now offering an optional extended-warranty plan for its LanTEK II cabling-system tester. The tester comes with a one-year factory warranty and the optional plan extends the warranty to three years.

The plan includes calibration and maintenance services at no charge for the three-year warranty period. If the tester needs to be repaired during the warranty period, Ideal provides a loaner.

The calibration service includes test and replacement, as necessary, of cables and accessories including batteries, adapters, battery chargers and carrying cases. At the end of the three-year warranty period, the company replaces the tester's instrument housings and keypads.

The extended-warranty plan costs $1,850, and Ideal offers separate plans for its FiberTEK FDX fiber modules.
