November 11, 2009 --Cooper B-Line, a provider of support systems and enclosures for engineered facility subsystem applications, announced the availability of an extensive library of three dimensional (3D) building information modeling (BIM) product files in the Autodesk Revit file format.

Cooper B-Line’s Revit file library includes four major product families: the company's Flextray wire basket, F.A.S.T. under-floor cable management system, comm/data equipment supports, and Access and V-Line branded electronic enclosures.

“Cooper B-Line’s ongoing development of BIM models, in both open and proprietary file formats, helps to ensure that we continue to be a leading resource in providing solutions for engineering, consulting and construction firms that use BIM,” comments Joe Kline, vice president of marketing for Cooper B-Line. “With the release of our Revit family files, we now have support for the leading brand of BIM software which strongly supplements our current set of BIM tools available in non-proprietary formats.”

Each Revit family file allows the user to select an individual part’s model which includes applicable parametric data that is contained in an associated database. This allows anyone involved in the construction industry that uses Autodesk Revit to easily integrate a particular Cooper B-Line product solution into their project designs.
