LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Beacon Enterprise Solutions Group, Inc., a specialist in the design, implementation and management of high performance Information Technology Systems (ITS) infrastructure, has announced the appointment of William Purcell as Vice President, Outside Plant Sales to lead the Beacon Outside Plant vertical market for ITS infrastructure deployment.

His experience in managing Federal contracts, project assessment, engineering and implementation will be a fantastic asset for campus, smart building and inter-company communications for multi-location, multi-continent clients."
The Outside Plant (OSP) vertical market refers to all of the physical cabling and supporting infrastructure such as conduit, cabinets, tower or poles and any associated hardware located between two or more client locations. Outside Plant refers to "outside the walls" and Inside Plant refers to "inside the walls" of a client facility.

Mr. Purcell, age 46, brings over 25 years of experience in the design, engineering, sales and installation of ITS infrastructure services for clients in both the Federal and commercial marketplace. Most recently, Purcell was the President of BNB & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in the communication industry with its main emphasis on business development, federal and commercial sales, project engineering and construction services for a variety of ITS infrastructure solutions.
Those solutions include installation guidance for hybrid fiber coax design and construction, AV systems, and wireless technologies. Purcell's prior positions and experiences include various ITS positions supporting the Federal government, Fiber to the Home (FTTH) projects with Verizon and as a field engineer building the AT&T fiber optic network. Mr. Purcell is certified in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Systimax SCS design and engineering, LAN cabling systems, fiber optic testing and installation, and category 5/6 installation and testing.
