Cable-Hanging Hardware For Tray, Non-Continuous Support Systems

Dewalt’s ToughWire cable-hanger system is applicable to multiple trades. The hardware allows installers to customize suspension solutions.

Dewalt announced the upcoming availability of its new ToughWire cable-hanger system the company is aiming at electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal trades. The system’s applications in electrical trades are also relevant to low-voltage cabling setups, including cable tray and noncontinuous cable-support systems.

In total the ToughWire product set comprises more than 50 components, “offering a variety of strong, fast, and easy suspension solutions designed for improving efficiency and simplifying installations,” the company said. It will be available in spring 2025.

“We designed the Dewalt ToughWire system with the pro in mind, understanding that cable hanger solutions are rarely one-size-fits-all, as each job is complex and unique,” said the company’s director of product management Ward Smith. “By addressing the unique challenges of each job, we ensure that tradespeople have the tools and solutions needed to enhance their workflows.”

Users can customize solutions using ToughWire’s assortment of wire attachments, locking devices, components, and accessories. The components include identifiers that mark proper directional use and device pairings. Dewalt emphasizes the system can be installed by hand while wearing gloves.
