Cable-Tie Cutter Leaves Smooth Edges

The cutter’s bypass cutting action does not pinch the ties, and doesn’t leave jagged edges.

The Xuron Model 2275 Cable Tie Cutter leaves a smooth, flat cut to prevent workers from getting injured. Installers and technicians who have worked in spaces with cable ties know the hazards of encountering a tie that has been cut and left a jagged edge. Abrasions and puncture wounds can be common in this scenario, and Xuron’s cutter alleviates those hazards.

The cable tie cutter “features a bypass cutting action, which leaves a flat cut that is smooth to the touch and prevents workers from getting scratched or cut,” the company says. Unlike compression-type cutters that pinch cable ties, The Xuron Model 2275 is particularly good in applications where the bundles are exposed, the company points out.

“The Xuron Model 2275 Cable Tie Cutter is comfortable to hold in any size hand, left or right, and has no bothersome scissor-like finger loops,” Xuron continues. “Made from alloyed steel, these cutters have Xuro-Rubber Soft grips and a built-in return spring.”
